The enchanting Christmas ballet that has enthralled audiences of all ages for over a century is back! Ballet Etudes Company proudly presents its 37th anniversary production of The Nutcracker starring international guest artists Laura Valentin & Jose Rodriguez, fresh off their critically acclaimed performances in Ballet Etudes’ recent Gala presentation of Giselle in October, and soloists and corps de ballet from Ballet Etudes of South Florida. The Company will present the first-ever Nutcracker production at the Colony Theater, 1040 Lincoln Road, on Friday, December 9^th with two special performances: a seniors & students only performance at 11:15am and a performance for the general public at 8:15pm. The Company is also returning to the Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, Miramar. FL 33025 for three performances each followed by a meet and greet with stars of the performance. Performance dates and times are Saturday, December 17^th at 3pm & 8pm and Sunday, December 18^th at 3pm.

 

Ballet Etudes Company’s magical production features new sets, scenery, colorful costuming, captivating theatrical effects, and superb choreography elegantly executed by Ballet Etudes Company dancers. The Nutcracker is overseen by Director Susana Prieto Elden, Production Coordinator Peter La Fox, and Ballet Mistress Dagmar Moradillos. Ballet Etudes, which has been one of South Florida’s premier classical ballet companies since its founding 37 years ago, continues its annual tradition of presenting The Nutcracker, a real Christmas treat for audiences.

 

Ticket prices for The Nutcracker at the Colony Theater General Public performance are $35, $45, and $55. Ticket prices for The Nutcracker at the Miramar Cultural Center are $27, $42, and $52. Gala patron seating is available upon request for the Saturday evening performance for $77.  A discount of 10% is available for groups or 12 or more and 15% for groups of 20 or more through the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Group Sales Department by calling (954) 462-0222.
